Doppler Echocardiography

This primer is designed to serve as an introduction to quantitative intracardiac Doppler for the internist, cardiology fellow and practitioner and also the ultrasonographer interested in the clinical applications of this rapidly developing technique. It does not provide a comprehensive review of physical principles nor an exhaustive review of the literature. It is a workbook in which brief discussions of normal and abnormal flow patterns are followed by case reports which the reader works through and makes calculations and measurements.
