Bob Labbe earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1968 and began studying for his master's in engineering and business; in 1972, he embarked on his career in air pollution control, engineering, manufacturing, and installing industrial systems throughout North America and in other parts of the world. He began his career with American Air Filter in 1968 and in 1972 became a founding member of the first of three air pollution control companies he led over forty-nine years.Conducting business often meant playing golf with salesmen, and Bob worked with many over the years who were also passionate about the game. For twenty-five years, he attended an annual sales meeting that featured a one-day golf tournament. While Bob was rarely competitive with these accomplished golfers, he learned to love the game and knew that one day, he would play it on a regular and dedicated basis, which he began doing in 1996.As he played more, he realized that becoming a good golfer depended on putting. Putting by the Numbers is the result: the method of lag putting he developed to be able score at a level that was both satisfying and competitive, a method that has allowed him to shave 8 to 12 strokes per round from his early playing days. https://www.puttingbythenumbers.com
