"...the leading U.S. pathology textbook... [that] aims to offer an in-depth yet comprehensive state-of-the-art overview of human pathology. The reviewers of previous editions of 'big Robbins' (as it is usually called) have used superlatives to describe it and call it 'the Bible of pathology', 'the must-have textbook of pathology', and 'the definitive comprehensive textbook of pathology'. Accordingly, even before this 11th edition, it was recognized as the leading comprehensive textbook of pathology, the best of the best. In my view, this edition deserves all those accolades as well; it could not have been done any better! It is an excellent pathology textbook for students of medicine are other allied health professions. It covers all the basic aspects of pathology and is masterfully illustrated. It is well written and edited, and well-illustrated with color photos and conceptual drawings, which give it a dynamic quality. Pathophysiology and clinical pathologic correlations are its major attractive features. I recommend it as the best currently available comprehensive pathology textbook."Review by Ivan Damjanov, MD, PhD(University of Kansas Medical Center), (c)Doody's Review Service, 2026. Doody's Score: 100, 5 Stars!
Review of the previous edition:
"I recommend it highly. Simply stated, I cannot imagine a major modern textbook of pathology could be written better than this." --Ivan Damjanov, MD, PhD (University of Kansas Medical Center) Doody's Review Service
