This book presents an overall aspect of sustainable development of environment in every aspect. Rapid urbanization due to huge population and economic growth has unprecedented effect on the environmental sustainability. The article described here covered traffic safety to waste management, utilization of nanotechnology, bioremediation, alternative energy resources, energy storage, and societal sustainability. Also, this book presents the current innovation in the field of safe and secure management of urban society that are sustainable as well as eco-friendly. Every country is looking for alternative, sustainable, and clean energy resources to meet the demands. Agricultural sector has a critical role in global energy trend, because it not only consists of 3-4% of global energy consumption but it also contributes energy production through biogas and bioethanol production, etc. The proposed book describes the recent advancement in the field of clean energy production, storage, and transport and sustainable agriculture. Also, few of the chapters in this book describes new techniques for eco-friendly soil strengthening techniques where microbes-based processes are used for treating soil. Few of the articles also discussed on the forest fire restriction, sustainable tourism, and forest seedling. Agro-food waste recycling and management are also discussed in this book. Also, recent innovation in the reduction of the energy during its conversion has been presented as a research or review articles. A few chapters in this book describe recent trends on the environment-friendly agricultural practices and plant disease detection. Around 32 chapters will be there in this book with reviews, research, and case studies on the above-mentioned topics.

Manish Kumar: Dr. Manish Kumar joined Tecnológico de Monterrey as Distinguished Professor in Water Science for the School of Engineering and Sciences in 2023. He has been part of Sustainability Cluster, UPES, Dehradun, and the Faculty in the Discipline of Earth at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, and he has also worked at the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), US, as Visiting Faculty under the Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship. His academic and research formation has also taken place in universities around the world such as Tezpur University, in India; Kunsan National University, in South Korea; and Uppsala University, in Sweden, to name a few. He has been featured in the list of the top 2% researchers in the world released by Stanford University since its inception, and he is Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
