Description
Increasing the consumption of fuel in power and automobile sectors, increases the pollution of the environment. A literature review suggests that engine emissions can be reduced by adding additives with diesel fuel. Among the various additives, oxygenated additives are the most widely used. This is due to the participation of their oxygen in reactions and leading to a better combustion thus lowering the emissions. Nitromethane have high oxygen content in their molecular structure.
