The present book signifies the importance of flavonoids and phenols in human health. These are obtained from the leaves extract of Ashoka plant. The reason behind choosing Ashoka plant is that it has much pharmacological activity and it is readily available in India. The qualitative and quantitative analysis is done to find out the presence of flavonoids and phenols in the leaves of Ashoka. The author tried to explain the qualitative and quantitative methods in detail.

Abhishek Kumar obtained M.tech in Biotechnology from ITM University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India in 2017. The author has few research publications till date. This is his first book which includes the information about the flavonoids and phenols and methods of their phytochemical analysis.
