Description
This book deals with the energy and exergy analysis of the hybrid power and cooling cycle comprising of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) integrated with gas turbine cycle (GT), organic Rankine cycle (ORC), and vapour absorption refrigeration system (VARS). The combination of direct energy conversion system of SOFC and indirect energy conversion systems of GT and ORC for power gives insight into the possibility of effective energy utilization in power cycles along with utilizing the waste heat of intercooling for getting cooling effect using VARS. It presents the detailed thermodynamic modelling of SOFC-GT-VARS-ORC based hybrid power and cooling cycle using the principles of the Ist and IInd Law of thermodynamics for maximizing the energy utilization in SOFC based systems while augmenting the power output.
