Aluminum matrix composites (AMCs) containing silicon carbide (SiC) and molybdenum (Mo) are advanced materials used in various engineering applications due to their enhanced mechanical and thermal properties. Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) is a precision machining process used to shape hard materials using electrical discharges.Using the Taguchi approach to determine the optimal combination of machining parameters that result in improved EDM performance for the aluminum matrix composite with SiC and Mo. Grey Relational Analysis helps in evaluating the relationship between the various machining parameters and performance measures, considering the uncertainties or variations in data. It enables identifying which parameters have the most significant influence on the EDM process for these specific composites.Overall, this methodology aims to optimize the EDM process parameters for achieving enhanced machining performance in aluminum matrix composites reinforced with SiC and Mo by systematically studying and analyzing their interactions using statistical and analytical tools.
