Die Werke der 14 polnischen Gegenwartskünstler fordern uns zu Perspektivwechseln auf. Mit unterschiedlichen Medien und Sehweisen entwickeln sie die Idee des 'Drehens', die als hintergründige Kraft auf Körper oder räume, auf Prozesse oder Handlungen, auf Dinge oder Informationen überspringen kann. Spielerische Leichtigkeit, taumelnder Witz, absurdes Alltägliches oder auch explosive Kraft deformieren oder brechen Strukturen auf bis zu ihrem wörtlichen oder metaphorischen Kollabieren. Das Aufgreifen dieser Thematiken ist einerseits auf die Rolle zurückzuführen, die das Land beim gesamtgesellschaftlichen Wandel der ehemaligen ost-West-Verhältnisse am Beginn der 1980er Jahre gespielt hat, und andererseits auf den Diskurs kritischer Zeitgenossenschaft durch die Künstler.

The works by the 14 contemporary Polish artists forces us to assume changes in perspective. Using different media and ways of seeing, they develop the ideaof 'twisting', which as a subversive force can jump onto bodies or spaces, onto processes or actions, onto things or information. Playful airiness, lurching humour, absurd everyday matters or even explosive force deform or break up structures until they literally or metaphorically collapse. The fact that these subjects are taken up is down to the role that the country played during the transformation in all layers of society from former East-West structures and conditions at the beginning of the 1980s on the one hand, and to the discourse of critical contemporaneity raised by the artists on the other.
