Description
3:10 to Yuma meets the Texas Chainsaw Massacre as a meek small-town sheriff relocates a family of vicious cannibals to continue the westward expansion of the railroad.
The Spine of the Land is a graphic novel about the grueling construction of the mid-Atlantic railroad in 1887 Louisiana. The railroad has been delayed due to a group of feral cannibals attacking the workforce. The charismatic Governor, Murphy J. Foster, will use any means necessary to continue his dominion. Capturing one of the feral folk, the Governor hires a meek sheriff to escort the brute back to his people and pay them to leave their homeland.
What follows is a tale of brutality, crime, and human tenacity.

He lives in Toronto with his wife Jennifer, their daughter Lauren, and their dog Rudy Super Boy Brown. Jason Krawczyk is a writer and director best known for the Henry Rollins horror-comedy He Never Died (2015, SXSW premiere, now on Netflix) and its sequel She Never Died (2020). His latest film, Sunset Superman starring Michael Jai White, premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024 and streams as a Tubi Original. Beyond film, Jason has written multiple screenplays, novels, and novellas, including An Earth That Knows Magic (2022), Reality Squall (2024), and Roots Run Deep (2024), with Nightmare Country and the comic Spine of the Land coming in 2025.
