Description
Frederick C. Klein and Mark Anderson have teamed up again to create a perfect vehicle to introduce young fans to the history and celebrated legends of the New York Mets. Each letter of the alphabet is designated to at least one Mets immortal, which is characterized by a brilliant illustration, a witty poem, and a brief summary of his place in baseball history. The New York Mets baseball program has certainly produced its share of such personalities. Its annals are studded with memorable names such as Keith Hernandez, Bobby Valentine, Yogi Berra, Carlos Beltran, Darryl Strawberry, Sid Fernandez, Johan Santana, Al Leiter, Lindsey Nelson, Mike Piazza, Jose Reyes, and many others. The book is a wonderful tool for young readers and an ideal way for different generations of Mets fans to share their passion.
