Walking Life with First Responders

In her ten years as a law enforcement officer, Kimberly Kiefer witnessed the unseen toll of trauma on those who protect and serve. From horrific crime scenes to the everyday weight of critical incidents, she saw firsthand how the minds, hearts, and spirits of LEOs are tested daily and how their struggles often go unseen and unsupported.

Called to be a chaplain for first responders, Kimberly combines her law enforcement experience with seminary education to equip churches and communities to better understand, support, and walk alongside first responders and their families. In this book, she shares the costs of serving in law enforcement, offers guidance for ministering to officers and their families, and shows how compassion, understanding, and faith can support those who carry the heavy burden of keeping our communities safe.
