Description
Speed Checking Systems are being used all over the world to check the speed of the moving vehicles. Current Systems use radar or a laser gun on the principle of Doppler Effect to check the speed of the moving vehicle and the camera is used to take the picture of the violators. We want to improve the system due to reasons, which are, current system cannot check the speed of multiple cars at a time, it is a manual system, and there are devices available in the market to cheat the system. So to remove these problems the company wanted us to change the system to use image processing technique instead of Doppler Effect and also to automate the system. We used image processing in our project instead of traditional Doppler Effect Technique. A camera is used to take the live feed and a speed calculation algorithm, implemented in C#, is used to calculate the speed and a high definition camera would be used to take a picture of the violator''s number plate and send it to authorities, this all is done automatically without any manual help.
