By using a hypothetical company as an example, the authors introduce the notion of their one-page reports. The first of these, the focus report is based on the notion of critical success factors which are discovered by asking the question "how do I know when I have succeeded?" The second report, called feedback, is designed to monitor the progress of the success factors. The third report is designed to link the previous two. This manual is now in use in several of the world's major com panies.
