Description
The 'IT girl' of her generation, a Hollywood child-star and an actress in two of TV's best loved soaps, Patsy Kensit is one of Britain's best known personalities. Yet for many years she has remained quiet about her private life. A thrilling and often moving tale of gangs, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, this is the ultimate celebrity autobiography. The daughter of a career criminal, Patsy talks for the first time about her strange and sometimes frightening childhood, which included regular correspondences with the notorious gangster Reggie Kray (her father's friend), Hollywood stardom in The Great Gatsby alongside Mia Farrow and Robert Redford, and tragedy with the early death of both of her parents.Weaving her way through the rise and fall of organised crime in London in the 60s and 70s, through the decline of old Hollywood and the rise of the London club scene in the 80s which she was such an important part of, Patsy gives unparalleled insights into the varied worlds of crime, film, fashion, clubs, music and television as only she can.Refreshingly candid about her well-documented four celebrity marriages and three divorces, as well as her persistent battle with drug addiction, this is an honest and open account of a truly sensational and, at times, tumultuous life.
