In this bittersweet reminiscence, Seán Kenny takes us on a journey that spans over four decades. Through a series of revelations he learns that the Irish family life of his youth was not what it seemed. As one revelation after another hits him his life becomes an odyssey in which he must constantly reinvent himself to explore and conquer his demons, most of all the conviction that he is the son of a pedophile. He is unsparing as he creates this intimate portrait of himself, his parents, his siblings, his lovers and his children. Seán Kenny is the author of six previous novels. This is his first book-length work of non-fiction. Born in Ireland in nineteen fifty-six, he lives in California where he worked in high-tech, first as a cold warrior, then over the last fifteen years as a climate warrior desiring and building solar projects. Best known for his novel The Hungry Earth, he recently published a long-standing project, The Ulstermen. He continues to write and do what he can to save the planet.
