They, in the company of Parnak, a journalist, are drafted into the service of the Marcellean lord, Soal. Orbiting that ancient world is the ominous, cylinder world, Modallas. Led by The Helmsman who searches for the powerful Marcellan Heart, Modallas battles that lost world. A battered Soarer, our heroes' freighter, is enlisted to bring Parnak, a journalist to Marcellus and that last battle aboard the cylinder world.
