The Shark Files

After doing research and studying sharks and shark attacks for almost 40 years, I thought I know everything about this topic. After all, I wrote 3 books and numerous articles regarding shark-human-conflict. But like Socrates saying 'I know that I know nothing' I found out that there are in fact many stories I hadn't heard of before. For example, I had never heard about the shark attacks in Hong Kong during the 90's. Australian and Californian shark attacks are well known but this one was a mystery to me. Also, I had never heard about the numerous shark attacks in the Sundarbans of India. On the other hand, there are many shark attack stories that stand out in time, that have something unique and special to them, something peculiar sinister. I wanted to take a closer look at them and find out why they are still in so many heads and cause nightmares, why they are still making headlines worldwide.
