Reviews / Votes
The joyous and energetic illustrations practically overflow from each page and perfectly capture the chaos and eclectic cast of characters. An entertaining celebration of the joy of reading... -- South Wales Evening Post Each page works as a standalone 'tableau' of the imagination - rich in detail and with enough small elements to spot something new on each reading. -- Armadillo Magazine ...A smashing read aloud that celebrates the delights of losing oneself in a good book. -- Jill Bennett / Red Reading HubMore details

John Kelly has been illustrating, writing, and designing books since just after the invention of the clay tablet in Ancient Mesopotamia. He has now moved on to shouting at a computer screen, sharpening endless pencils, and staring at a blank page of a Moleskine notebook. He lives in a mythical suburb of South London with his wife who is also a full-time muse. Elina Ellis was born and grew up in Ukraine. She made up stories and drew funny pictures from the age of three, so she decided not to let her skills go to waste and graduated with an MA in Children's Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art. She's been drawing funny pictures and making up stories ever since!
