Values and Evaluating

There is probably no aspect of life - and certainly no branch of science - in which values and evaluation do not play an eminent role. This is reflected in the collection of essays Values and Evaluation. Fourteen academic experts, seven from the University of California at Davis and seven from Heinrich-Heine-Universität in Düsseldorf, present and discuss aspects of values and evaluation from the perspective of their respective disciplines: psychology, bioethics, German literature, medieval literature, medical ethics, chemistry, philosophy, Romance literature, business management, art history, medical sociology, and German linguistics. As a whole, this volume thus provides a comprehensive discussion of the values and evaluation challenge in all of its many facets.
