Description
Rachel Bennett, staff writer at NW Adventure Magazine, desperately wants an exciting assignment: Six months sailing the seas with a marine photographer and his crew as they film a variety of whales from Alaska to far-off Patagonia.
However, Mac O'Neill, the photographer and leader of the expedition, is adamant. He doesn't want Rachel aboard. She's not a sailor and therefore, an amateur... and amateurs cause problems.
A compromise is reached. Mac and some friends are going to the Bay of Magdalena in Baja, Mexico for ten days to kayak among the gray whales. Rachel must accompany Mac to the primitive camp where she'll have ten days to prove herself capable. If she doesn't whine, complain or cause problems, Mac must allow her to accompany him on the expedition.
Rachel is determined. Mac is resolute. A storm is brewing that will whip up more than just wind and waves.
