The present book, Organic Evolution-Evolutionary Biology is the theory that modern plants and animals evolved from pre-existing, simpler forms over successive generations through gradual, continuous modifications. These changes are driven by factors like genetic changes, environmental pressures, and natural selection, which lead to adaptations and the emergence of new species. The concept, famously elaborated by Charles Darwin, describes the slow, irreversible process of "descent with modification" where organisms change and adapt to their environments over long periods, ensuring their survival and reproduction.
