Persons
Dr. Thomas Kang is a professor in the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering and the Interdisciplinary Program in Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University, Korea. Prior to that, he was a professor in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, USA. He has held various affiliated positions in the USA and Japan, including an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma, an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the lecturer at UCLA, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the University of Tokyo. Prof. Kang received his Ph.D. from UCLA, his M.S. from Michigan State University, and his B.S. from Seoul National University. Prof. Kang is a fellow of Post-Tensioning Institute and a fellow of American Concrete Institute. Prof. Kang received the Kenneth B. Bondy Award, Wason Medal for Most Meritorious Paper, T. Y. Lin Award., and Martin P. Korn Award.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lapyote Prasittisopin is the head of Center of Excellent on Green Tech in Architecture and in the Department of Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. He received his M.S. degree in material science (polymer) and his Ph.D. in civil engineering (structural materials) from Oregon State University, USA, as well as B.Eng. chemical engineering from Chulalongkorn University and LL. B. Law from Sukhothai Thammathirat University. His research interests include architecture engineering, digital construction, building materials, sustainability, and circular design. He has served as an Advisor to the National Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Secretariat of the Senate of Thailand and Secretary to the National Committee on Finance, Banking and Financial Institutions Group, Secretariat of the House Representative of Thailand, as well as arbitrator with Thailand Arbitration Center.
