Jie Kang is a professor at the Department of Health and Exercise Science, The College of New Jersey. Kang has taught on a variety of exercise science courses including anatomy and physiology, applied physiology and nutrition and metabolism With over 13 years of being in academia, Kang has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles on topics related to the alterations in energy metabolism, substrate utilisation, cardio-respiratory activity and perceived exertion in response to acute and chronic exercise. Kang is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and certified ACSM Exercise Specialist and has served as a director for the ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor workshop and certification for the past 7 years.
