Description
MAZE contains twelve interconnected stories. The collection concerns the ordeals of troubled characters who are woven together by drug addiction, suicide, postpartum depression, abandonment, abduction and murder.
A woman hears voices from her future and sets out to become the head of a new race, while another woman scouts a public park for her childhood self. A four-year-old girl is obsessed by suicide in one tale and a woman who dreams of her own death and sets out to pursue it in another.
The recurring themes are loneliness and obsession that mask the characters' psychological issues. Although they insist that they are misunderstood, and embrace their behavior as part of the human condition, ultimately they find comfort in the darker side of life.
