Eric July is a writer, musician, husband, and father, and the founder of Rippaverse Publishing. As frontman of the Billboard-charting bands BackWordz and Fire From the Gods, he brings a lyricist's ear for rhyme and rhythm to the page. Vassie in Florespark is the third volume in his Vassie picture-book series - rhyming stories about a young Black girl held up by her family. The characters in Vassie's world are named after Eric's own ancestors, including his great-great-great grandfather Isom. He lives in Dallas, Texas with his family.
