Joining Forces

One of the most important developments in the field of special education in recent years has been the forging of links between special and ordinary schools. This report looks closely at the form those links take, drawing together data from questionnaires sent to 400 special schools and nine detailed case studies. It examines the ways in which special and ordinary schools can work together for the benefit of pupils, and discusses how this cooperation can enable an interchange of ideas, resources and expertise.
