Ronald D. Joslin manages Turbulence, Stratified Wakes, Submarine Maneuvering, and Ocean Energy Conversion Programs at the Office of Naval Research. He is the Navy Principal S&T Advisor to the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program Office. An Associate Fellow of AIAA, he is a former member of the AIAA Fluid Dynamics Technical Committee, and the technical chair of the 3rd AIAA Flow Control Conference. Daniel N. Miller is a Technical Fellow in air vehicle sciences and systems with the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. He has led pioneering research and made valuable contributions in flow control, embedded propulsion, robust design, and computational fluid dynamics supporting development of major aircraft systems including the F-35, F-22, and advanced programs. He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA, co-instructor for two AIAA short courses in modern flow control, an AIAA Journal reviewer, a member of the AIAA Fluid Dynamics Technical Committee, and the technical chair of the fluid dynamics sessions at the 45th Aerospace Sciences Meeting. Lockheed Martin Corporation awarded Miller the NOVA award, its highest recognition for technical achievement.
