All of my books are inspired by things I notice, find interesting and see around me. Both my boys love video games and I've always been interested in lucid dreams (which is where the dreamer knows they're dreaming.) I thought it might be fun to have a video game where each level is a different dream. Then I realised it would be even more fun if the main character got sucked into the game and had to complete all the levels to get back home.
