Solihull Century

As the 20th century draws to a close, Robin Jones has researched newspapers of the last 100 years to compile this collection of news items relating to Solihull. Solihul's people and places are brought to life with many stories, whilst contemporary press reports trace the impact of two world wars upon the borough. A report comes from the KGB Archives with a map of Solihul and basic information on its population and activities compiled during the Cold War of the 1960s. The volume is fully illustrated with a range of photographs and period advertisements.
