This almanac presents a range of facts and fables about life in the south of France, organized by season. The book explores in words and pictures what draws travellers from all over the world to the region: wine and folk festivals; traditional crafts, including fabrics, pottery, musical instruments, with addresses for finding them; farm markets, with special recipes from family cooks and famous chefs; litle-known lore about local history and geography; and information about classic Provencal style and customs.
