I'm a Southern girl, born, bred, and educated in North Carolina-raised by a high school English teacher and a U.S. Army Master Sergeant who jumped out of planes with the 82nd Airborne.I wrote my first romance novel at twelve, already hooked on Harlequin paperbacks and sweeping historicals. Even then, I wanted to see myself in the stories I loved. I paused the dream to earn a doctorate and build a career in academia-but I never stopped craving stories where smart, complex Black women got to take center stage.Now, I write contemporary romance for grown folks-stories full of heat, heart, emotional tension, and characters navigating real stakes. My books are intentionally written: rich in story, sharp in dialogue, and unapologetically sexy. Because Black women deserve love stories that make you think, make you feel, and make you need a cold glass of water after.These days, I live my own love story with the man who swept me off my feet over Colt 45 and homemade spaghetti. We've got three beautiful kids, two cats, and a dog. When I'm not writing love stories, you'll find me reading them-or doing the work that (for now) still pays the bills.
