Antonio Carlos Jobim (1927-1994) was a composer, songwriter, and singer who combined Brazilian samba and jazz to create the bossa nova style, which achieved worldwide popularity in the early 1960s. His bossa nova song WAVE, featured in the title track of his 1967 album, was a major success for this brilliant Brazilian composer. The lyrics were written later that year by the composer himself. This arrangement by Dana Perna for AATB saxophone quartet also includes optional rhythm parts.
