Rosa Maria Jimenez Catalan is Professor Emerita of Applied Linguistics at the University of La Rioja, where she has taught and researched applied linguistics for over thirty years. She was the director of the Applied Linguistics research group at the University of La Rioja (GLAUR) between 2003 and 2023, and has published widely on foreign language education.
