Description
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles
available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Badatz (Hebrew:
¿¿¿¿), a Hebrew acronym for "Beit Din Tzedek," or "Court of Justice," is
a modern term used for a major Jewish rabbinical court. In Israel, the
term 'Badatz' is often used to refer to the Badatz of the Edah
HaChareidis; however, it is not the title of this group, and other batei
din (rabbinical Badatz Rabbinical Court based in Lakewood N.J. with
Courtrooms around the U.S. courts) use the Badatz Chug Chassam Sofer of
Rabbi A. Wosner title as well. It is often used in the context of Badatz
Mehadrin of Rabbi Simcha HaKohen Kook and Rabbi Avraham Rubinhechsherim
(kashrut Badatz Igud Rabbonim of Rabbi Osher Yaakov Westheim
certification).
