Description
Sarah is a superb synchronised swimmer with a good chance of getting on the Olympic team. However, she's shy, and never talks about her swimming at school for fear of mockery. Her fledgeling relationship with Tom is
almost destroyed when she thinks he's exposed her to the ridicule of the class, who have no idea how demanding synchronised swimming is. But when a classmate finds himself in danger, only Sarah will be able to help...
Highly readable, exciting books that take the struggle out of reading, Wired Up encourages and supports reading practice by providing gripping, age-appropriate stories for struggling and reluctant readers, or those with English as an additional language, aged 11+, at a manageable length (80 pages) and reading level (9+). Produced in association with reading experts at CatchUp, a charity which aims to address underachievement caused by literacy and numeracy difficulties.

Cindy Jefferies was born in Cirencester. She always wanted to be a writer, but went through a variety of jobs first including teaching, working in a china shop, a pub, and as a DJ, selling junk antiques, making Venetian masks, and running an employment agency. She started a bookselling business, but got fed up of selling other people's books and finally wrote what became her first published book, Sebastian's Quest. She co-authored the Stadium School miniseries for A&C Black with her son, Seb Goffe.
