I am Cumbrian born and bred, and though widely travelled I have spent the majority of my life living and working in my home county. After leaving school I managed to work my way through a wide range of diverse occupations before finally finding my true vocation with Royal Mail. I spent many happy years there, the last three as Customer Liaison Manager.
I am married to Pat and we have a daughter Nicola, two grandchildren Kris and Alex and three great-grandchildren Lillie, Frederick and Maisie. They have given me lots of pleasure over the years and many happy memories to go with them, I'm very proud of them all. My hobbies include spending time with the kids, bowling, pottering about in the garden, eating out with friends and supporting my beloved Manchester City.
Writing a novel had been a passion of mine for many years and retirement gave me the opportunity to fulfil this ambition.
