Description
Hand-bound team-up pamphlet by Sidekick editors Kirsten Irving and Jon Stone, illustrated by Cliff Hammett.
A touch Kipling-esque, a little bit Ted Hughes-y and occasionally Lear-ish, these 29 sonnets on animals rescued by the Tropical Zoo are exuberant bitesize treats for all lovers of wildlife and literary neatness.
Includes two award-winning poems: 'Hissing Cockroach', which won the 2011 Live Canon Prize, and 'Blue Poison Dart Frog', which was commended in the 2012 National Poetry Competition.
