Comprehensive Wound Management

This textbook deals with the management of wounds treated by clinicians. A wide spectrum of acute and chronic wounds is covered including pressure ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, vascular ulcers and burn injuries. The text is divided into sections, developing understanding of the intergumentary system, normal and abnormal healing, examination of the patient, examination of the wound, and how to document patient interaction. Chapters also discuss each type of intervention such as debridgement, dressings, physical agents and care for the surrounding skin. In addition, administrative issues and their impact on wound management are covered.
