Building on industry experience with a Freightliner dealership and Mack Trucks Incorporated, Sean Bennett began his teaching career as a corporate trainer for Mack Trucks before joining the faculty at Toronto's Centennial College. During his two decades with the college, Bennett served as program coordinator of the Truck and Diesel Department, chaired a wide range of curriculum development committees for the Province of Ontario, authored the new curricula, and helped overhaul college syllabi to incorporate competency-based outcome models. Bennett has written over 25 books dealing with diesel, truck, heavy equipment, and automotive technology, and he currently devotes all of his time to technical writing and speaking engagements. He is an active member of the American Trucking Association's Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT).
