Understanding Business and Finance

Aiming to provide a course text covering the whole of the core subjects of BTEC HNC/D Business and Finance, this book should also be of use to business and finance students on other courses. The book does not itself try to teach. Within each specialist area the equivalent of the lecturer's notes, including key facts and formulae, are listed to provide a checklist for students and lecturers of the topics that need to be covered. These guidelines are interspersed, as appropriate, with problem-solving activities which students can tackle only when they have acquired the understanding and associated skills. How the requisite knowledge and skills are acquired will depend on whether it is better researched by the student or explained by the lecturer, and guidance on this is given in the free lecturer's supplement.
