Written in the same approachable tone of his Shooting Gazette training advice articles, Jeremy covers all aspects of this much-loved gundog's training, nutrition, breeding and buying: reminding the reader it's not always about what we want from our dog but also what our dogs want from us. This hardback book looks at all aspects of the care, management and training of the modern working labrador and discusses many of the issues affecting today's dog owners. Excellently illustrated, it provides advice and guidance on a range of practical matters, all of which are based on the author's lifelong experience with the breed. Essential reading for the first-time owner/trainer and, equally, an important update on labrador issues for the experienced owner. Few people are better qualified to write a book entitled Training the Working Labrador than Jeremy Hunt. He's been involved with working gundogs for more than 40 years and has written extensively about gundogs and how to train them...Even if you have several books on labrador training, you're unlikely to be disappointed with this new volume.
