A long career in the Police followed by a number of years spent rehabilitating those involved in crime might suggest a more natural fit with crime writing. For Stephen Hughes though, the inspiration to write came from the arrival of his two youngest children and their love of stories. Squirrel Squad is his second book following on from The Dinosaur in the Shed. He is based in Hertfordshire.
