Charlotte Hudson taught primary school for several years both abroad and in England, before turning her hand to picture book writing. She is the author of Who Will Sing My Puff-a-bye?, also illustrated by Mary McQuillan, Monkey Words, illustrated by Greg Gormley, and Dan and Diesel (2006). She lives in Clapham with her husband, small baby and Dotty the dog. Mary McQuillan is the talented young illustrator who has previously collaborated with Charlotte Hudson on Who Will Sing My Puff-a-Bye? She is also the illustrator of Our Twitchy and Who's Poorly Too? (winner of the Sheffield Picture book Award) both by Kes Gray, and Squeaky Clean by Simon Puttock. Her illustrations have also appeared in poetry collections, on greetings cards and wallpaper designs. She lives and works in Somerset.
