Persons
Dr. Ming Hu is Dean, Qiushi Distinguished Professor and Supervisor for Ph.D. Candidates at Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School, P. R. China. His main research areas include criminal procedure law, judicial system, and digital law.
Professor Hu is also the Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Judicial Civilization at Zhejiang University under the National "2011 Plan", Executive Dean of the Zhejiang University Digital Rule of Law Research Institute, and Distinguished Research Fellow of the Zhejiang University Research Institute on National Institutions. His concurrent academic service roles include: Member of the National Steering Committee for Postgraduate Professional Degree Education in Law Major, Executive Member of the Chinese Society of Legal Education under the China Law Society, Vice President of the China Association of Criminal Procedure Law, and Vice President of the Zhejiang Law Society.
Professor Hu has been recognized with numerous honors and titles, such as being one of the 9th National Outstanding Young Jurists, the National Leading Talent in Philosophy and Social Sciences, Chief Expert of National Key R&D Programs, Chief Expert of Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, and Chief Expert of Major Projects in Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education. He was also a visiting scholar at several prestigious institutions abroad, such as Yale University (USA) and the University of Munich (Germany).
