Jonty Howley spent his childhood in a tiny rural village in the south of England, where he spent his time exploring the woods and fields and practicing drawing. He studied illustration at UAL (University of the Arts, London) and graduated with a BA. Since then, Howley has worked with publishers such as Random House Children's Books, Random House Studio, Flying Eye and Happy Yak. His debut book, Big Boys Cry, received excellent reviews and has been translated into eight languages.
