Continuing on from book three in the Word Spider series and the great flood that threatened all the creatures of the Kingdom and even those safe in the branches of Oakland, as the creatures took refuge back in the old bookshop, some weren't so lucky. For Kurt, this was just the beginning of his own great adventure. The flood had carried him far across the wasteland, further than any slug had ever been. Waking to find himself in a strange new land, with even stranger creatures. Unfortunately, not everyone makes Kurt feel welcome, and there are some creatures who will consume everything in their path and nothing can stop them on their march across the land.
