When Sally's not tending to animals on her smallholding in Suffolk, UK, she can be found in her studio, inventing new children's books. After leaving art college she started her career at a local screen printing workshop before moving into advertising. In 1998 she returned to Suffolk, bought a farmhouse, and spent the next three years turning it into a family home with her husband Peter, and children Sophie and Matthew. Tracey originally trained as a photographer at Bournemouth Art Institute and worked for a long time as a picture editor, most notably at Country Life magazine and for the Times Supplements. Merton the Mudskipper is her first children's book for Top That.
