The date at the top of each spread is blank so you can start at any time of year-you don't have to wait for January 1st to make a habit of focusing on the good. It may not stop negatives from happening, but it'll help you to stop dwelling on the things that are out of your control and focus on the good.
Each spread has three lines for each day, then space to highlight the three best things for that week. Each quarter there's a page to reflect on the previous months, with the final page set aside for reflection on how your outlook has changed while using this journal.
