Getting on with Type 1 Diabetes

Florence is too tired to join in with friends at school, plus she is always thirsty. After visiting her GP and being referred to hospital she is diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She learns it doesn't need to spoil her life so long as she takes her prescribed insulin, eats healthy foods and keeps active. Florence feels much better and is soon enjoying life with her friends again. In the Books Beyond Words series the stories are told through pictures only.
